FAQs

1. What is a Target Score?

A Target Score is a randomly generated Stableford points score you must equal or beat to win a prize.

2. How many Target Scores can I use?

One per round.

3. How do you determine my Target Score and the value of my prize?

The Target Score you get and the value of the prize is randomised within a range. Typically, you will get a wide variety of scores each time you play, but you may get the same score more than once. Please see the table below.

Target Score Minimum Prize (ZAR) Maximum Prize (ZAR)
36 150 1000
37 150 1500
38 250 2500
39 250 2500
40 500 5000
41 500 5000
42 500 5000

4. How do I know what my Target Score is?

Choose “Reveal” in the menu, enter your email address and then the course name you will be playing, as well as the date and the tee time and submit. Then click “Confirm” to reveal your Target Score, which will also be emailed to you.

If you've successfully confirmed and revealed your Target Score, it will then reflect in the 'History' section.

5. How do I enter a score after I’ve played?

Choose “History” in the menu and enter your score alongside the relevant round. If you equal or better the Target Score, you are “claiming a win.”

6. How do the prizes work?

If you have “claimed a win” by entering a score equal to or higher than your Target Score, we access the Handicaps Network Africa platform to verify your score. You must have an official handicap with HNA and submit your score on their platform to qualify for a prize. If everything is in order, we will email you a virtual card loaded with funds within 2 working days.

7. Where can I spend my prize?

With any online store within South Africa.

8. Do you offer refunds?

Please note that there are no refunds. Once you have revealed a Target Score, it cannot be reversed.

9. Will you spam my email?

You may receive the occasional email informing you of any updates to Target Scores, but we do not send spam or require you to create an account. Your email address identifies you and is used to keep track of your credits, history, and prizes.
We, therefore, ask that you always use the same email address when participating. If your email address has changed, please contact us so we can make the change on our system and update your profile.

10. Is Target Scores gambling and will my Target Scores get increasingly difficult the more I play?

No, Target Scores has legally been deemed not to be a gambling product as it is not a game of luck. You require a great deal of skill to match or beat your Target Score, to go on and claim a win. The system is completely randomized and does not take into account your handicap. Therefore the scores will not get harder as you play and will always fall within the range of scores; 36 - 42 stableford points. Remember, the harder the Target Score, the bigger the prize.
